My Magical Summer of Awesomeness

The day is finally here! You get to read (and see) all about my super amazing summer! Fair warning, it is a little lengthy but there are a lot of pics so hopefully you wont get bored. Hold on tight kids, here we go!

In June we went to Florida to Disneyworld. I haven't been since the early 90's. So needless to say I was oober excited. Enter face:

The boys...not so much (at least they were good at hiding it)

You can see the castle in the background!

We made it! Pay no mind that we look like we got no sleep. I am not sure why we look so haggard. Maybe its cause we missed the shuttle because the driver was a freaking yahoo.

Me and my BFF!

Brandon and Bob on Splash Mountain. Click to enlarge. Trust me, it is for your benefit:

This is the slowest ride in the history of everdom. I think the max speed was .25 miles an hour. Stupid.

"Let's take the cheesiest/annoying-est picture evah!" Check.

On the way home from Dinseyworld I thew up. Just thought you should know. Then we went back to the hotel, got some rest and headed to Epcot! Asian shot:

We are so original, I know.

We went to this expensive French restaurant for lunch. It was yumsters.

When is it okay to have a rat in a restaurant? When its ratatouille of course!

After a day of Epcot we met up the Inner Circle (which consists of Shilo, Brittany, Shannon, Ronnie, and Bob). My parents hooked us up in the AMAZING timeshare. For more on that and our Universal Studios trip, click here: Brittany's Blog

We all have a love for Harry Potter so it was only necessary to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando. Here are some pictures from Hogwarts:

Shilo made us all shirts with spells on them.
Brittany: Expelliarmus
Shilo: Stupefy
Ashley: Sectumsempra
Shannon: Expecto Petronum

Everyone trying Butterbeer for the first time. My favorite part of this picture? Ronnie trying it before everyone :)
Ready for the BEST story ever?!?! Ok, so after Harry Potter world we mozied over to the other Universal Studio parks. The majority of the group wanted to ride this scary ride but me, Shannon and Ronnie all stayed behind. Well, we were sitting by some shop because we were exhausted. I guess it was also the place where all the action hero actors come out because we saw about 4 of them. Well one of them that came out was the green goblin. Freaking scary. This is what he looked like. Creepy right?!?!

Well anyway, Shannon was sleeping because A) she was tired and B) she can sleep anywhere. Exhibit A:

Well, the green goblin didn't like that Shannon was sleeping. So what does he do? He goes and stand DIRECTLY OVER HER and STARES AT HER IN THE FACE.

It takes a minute but Shannon finally wakes up to a Creepy goblin in her face. She FREAKED out! It was so effing hilarious! You really should have been there.
Thank goodness I got it all on camera :) Thank goodness she didn't hate me for not warning her!
We got a snack by the Jurrasic Park ride. And we must dissect this photo.

 1. Why do I have 2 churros? I probably said I bought one for someone else, but lets be honest, I bet I ate both of them
2. This look is classic. Enough said
3. 2 Sodas? Really Ash?
4. Thats where it goes. No, I am not pregnant.

Ok, so back to Virginia. We had the wonderful pleasure of going to the White House for the Fourth of July. Our friend Thad works for Barry so he got us in. It was super cool

Zoolander face:

My favorite picture of them:

For my birthday this year Brandon set up a weekend retreat that included horseback riding. I was so excited! Then I kept seeing the name Marshall everywhere and I told Brandon that we should name our first son Marshall. He then proceeded to tell me he would call him Eminem (cause Eminem's real name is Marshall Mathers). Anyway, here is evidence of one of my "signs":

Beautiful scenery

Our room:

Me doing a jig because I am excited to get on a horse!
Hay!

For the rest of July we were moving on all of our stuff into our new house (pics to be up soon. Not quite done decorating yet). To see one of the rooms, click here: Shilo's blog.

In August my brother, sister and I set up a surprise camping trip for my parents 40th wedding anniversary. Since we couldn't really make the camping a surprise (can you imagine how pissed you would be if someone blind folded you and drove you to a campsite and was like: Surprise! We are camping!. Yeah, not-so-much). So my brother set up a big family trip but they (my parents) had no idea that Shilo and I were coming. Complete awesomeness, I know. Here is some pics of it going down:

Shilo "OMG! We are about to yell surprise!"

Me: "What do we do!?!?"

In unision: "Surprise!"
Dad: "What the F*$%#!" - lol!

It's a little hat. It's funny.

My sister in law (who makes the cutest kids with my brother) and my nieces with Shilo. Presh.

How many men does it take to set up a pop-up tent?! haha!

Love this moment. I want to put it in my pocket.

Woman make fire!

I was whittling a wand for my sister. I know. Best sister award goes to moi.

Who says you have to eat crap whilst camping? Not the Mayers! Yum!

The Leonards like to catch snakes like a boss

Shilo and I made us all shirts with our names (or nicknames) on the front

And 40 on the back for how many years my parents have been together.

I love my shirt!

My aunt brought cheese balls. I love her.  I think this picture shows how serious I am.

Not only are they the most adorable couple ever, but they also woke up at 3 in the morning, took down their tent and packed up JUST to take Shilo and me back to LAX to catch a flight. Can you say AMAZING!?!?!

In September my sister and I went up to NYC. Every year she gets to go to the US Open with her friend (and fellow Jacob lover) Tess and this year they had en extra ticket so I got to go too! Yay for hot men! I mean tennis!

We also got to go to the Renaissance Fair this month with our aforementioned friends: Thad and Erika.
Lets make a list of why the RennFair is awesome.
#1. They sell creepy things like-a-dis:
#2. People like this walk around and make you laugh. And then kinda creep you out when they get too close.
#3. They have pretzels!
#4. Faires (this one was real, I swear)
#5. You can get your hair braided

#6. Magical forest mirrors
#7. Fat trolls who walk around like this and don't give a shiz
#8. Face painting

#9. Good lighting...? (ok, that was a stretch, but I like this picture)
#10. Guys walk around with what look like real parrots, but they are in fact not real parrots at all
#11. Jousting
#12. Chocolate covered bacon
#13. Deep fried Snickers
#14. Men walking around with large wooden mallots
#15. Women dressed up like this:

Amazing summer right? Lets hope this fall/winter is too! Thanks for reading!

Peace, love and Marshall.
