Happy Halloween!!

Well, I see no one gave a squat about my birthday/Olympic post...so that only leads me to believe that you guys hate me and you hate America. Wow. Just wow guys.

Just kidding :) I know you have better things to do than comment on my blog.

Halloween is upon us people! I feel like I have been celebrating it for a whole month so it has been a great Halloween so far. We have even watched Hocus Pocus already (thanks to Mallory*)!!

*Mallory is our new roomie in case you didn't know. She is like a sister now so get used to me blogging about her. She can also be known as Mal-pal and Chill-lips.

Starting October 1st I put up decorations:

Below is a banner my mother-in-law made for us. Its a little dark of a picture but it says SPOOKY! So fun!

And here are some pictures of our costumes:

At work I dressed up as a toddler in a tiara (and so did my other co-worker). We won second in the costume contest!

Shilo and Mallory were two different versions of Lady Gaga:

Brandon and I were characters from the show Game of Thrones

Shilo as Lady Gaga

  Mallory as Lady Gaga

Brandon as Jon Snow

Me as Daenerys Targaryen  (the modest version)

 Peace, love and CANDY!

PS: If you out of town readers are wondering how we weathered the storm (pun intended), we were just fine. No power outages or damages. Just a lot of rain...the wind wasn't even that bad. Too bad we can't say the same for our friends in the North :(

My Birthday!!!.....[two months later]

How is it that my birthday was two months ago and I am just now blogging about it?? Ugh. Life. It gets in the way of everything. And by everyhting I mean things I would rather be doing than being an adult.

Here is my promised blog about my birthday (which was a month long celebration, like always).

I woke up to this amazingness on my desk:

Those are my favorite donuts. They are called colossal donuts because they are most likely 6,000 calories each.

Then I got to work to see this!!!

This was my office cake, soooo yummy.

The cake had a hilarious sticker on it to explain the flavor. Please read:

After work I met up with Shilo and Brandon at The Cheesecake Factory. Shilo made me a Firework card. Baby, I AM a firework.

I wore this shirt (that was given to me in college by the lovely Brittany and Shannon) all day.

Brandon got me one of my favorite cards ever:

Three days after my bday was the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. So we had a party to celebrate the Olympics/my birthday.

A huge Thank You to my mom for sending us decorations for the party!

Look at this spread!

Shilo made these scones just for me! They were sooooo good!

I was born during the 1984 summer Olympics in Los Angeles. So my mom sent us some keepsakes she had from when I was born.

This Happy Birthday sign was made by my mother-in-law :)

We gave out gold medals...obs.

Me and my vintage 1984 shirt. Thank you GAP!

I got this idea from Pinterest.

 International lil' smokies

Shilo made cookie dough pops. DE-LIGHTFUL! Yes, all I did for my b-day was eat.

Our lovely friend brought all these goodies to munch on. Yum!!

I will end it with this super awkward picture. I have one friend who looks like she is yelling at the other for not agreeing with her views on Twilight, our other friend waving too fast, me stuffing my face, B looking miserable. Love it.

Peace, love and scones

Massanutten, Virginia

My parents were able to come out here the end of June/ beginning of July. They stayed at the Massanutten Resort in Virginia, right next to the Shenandoahs. Brandon, Shilo and I drove out there and spent some time relaxing with them.

Our first stop was Luray Cavers.

These pictures don't even show how beautiful these caverns really were. And I am only showing you a few pictures of them. I took sooo many!!

This picture below is water on the floor of the caverns which looks like there are stalagmites but there weren't any. Just a reflection of the stalactites.

Below are just fun shots of the kids (how much longer can I use that term?!?1?)

 Funniest picture of the blog

My favorite picture of sissy

There were tons of deer roaming around the resort. And me being a California girl, was totally obsessed. And it was so beautiful out there so I took tons of nature shots. Deal with it.

Mama deer

 Baby deer

My favorite picture

If you look closely you can see the deer in the middle of the picture. Right after I took this picture I got hit on by a car full of 30-40 year old men asking to take my picture. It was creepy.

And firework pictures (cause everyone loves those...)

On the way back to Centreville (with my folks, for the fourth of July) my dad and I decided to take this "easy" hike to see a beautiful waterfall. A million miles later we realized it was a bad idea. But I got to take some cool shots. And the waterfall was beautiful. I just didn't think we were going to make it back. It might have been 90 something degrees and 98% humidity that day...

Once we made it home, we got to cooking and had a feast for the fourth. Here are my patriotic cake pops.

Marshmallow pops. Nothing says America like overeating and lots of sugar. Amirite?

Shilo bought me a kitty shirt. I was super excited. ERMURGERD! FERTH OF JURLY KITTTIEERRS!
Brandon: Who did I marry??

Next blog? My birthday/ Olympics. Watch out, you will surely be jealous.
